The Weller Fellowship
The School of Design and Construction at Washington State University was formally created in July of 2012 with the merger of existing programs in Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. As part of the initiative of fostering an innovative environment, the SDC offers a yearly Weller Fellowship which provides the opportunity for future academicians to begin their career. The intent of the fellowship is to provide young designers with the opportunity to carry out design research on worldwide challenges regarding the construction of habitability in the early 21st century . The focus of the seminar seeks to explore these challenges through the fabrication of multifunctional structures with a focus on computational design methods, digital fabrication and delivery systems. 

华盛顿州立大学的设计与建造学院于2012年七月正式成立, 是由原有建筑学、建造管理、室内设计及景观学合并而成。学院各项专业不仅在其学术领域有所建树, 并能培训新时代职业发展需求的人才。学院希望通过全面的设计及建造的文化理论教育，能为学生日后的进阶学术研究打下坚实基础。作为培育创新人才环境的倡导者, 学院每年都选拔有潜力的研究者参与Weller社团, 以协助他们开展学术研究。社团意在通过创意工作坊和学术讲座等活动, 来引导研究者对当代设计议题进行探讨。对于年轻设计师的职业发展, 不仅需要有深化当前项目的设计能力, 同时还应具备应对新时代的全球化人居环境的挑战变化。学术讲座中则重点探讨了如何对当前设计方法、建造模式以及配送系统的思考, 来面对全球化危机与挑战。学生们利用前沿的技术和数字化方式, 并通过实际的建造实验来实现成他们的设计作品
